Voda IQ® EcoSaver™ Tray and QuickLock™ Tag Gun Instructions
Patent Pending
Using the EcoSaver™ Tray:
Unstacking Trays:
Your EcoSaver™ Trays arrive stacked for compact shipping and storage. Carefully unstack the trays as needed. To maintain stability during use, do not stack and use more than three trays at any given time.
Setting Up The Tray:
Each tray corner is marked with a letter (“R” or “L”) to facilitate right- or left-handed tagging. If you are right-handed (holding the gun in your right hand), ensure the “R” is closest to you. If left-handed, the “L” should be nearest.
Tagging Procedure:
Begin tagging from the hubs and needles closest to you, moving systematically from left to right within each row. Complete one row before moving to the next to ensure efficient use of the tray.
Disposal:
After use, dispose of the EcoSaver™ Tray responsibly. The tray is made from biodegradable plastic and can be discarded in your regular trash. For more details on material specifications, visit www.material.com.

Sustainability Statement: EcoSaver™ PolyEarthylene™ Tray System
At Voda IQ, we are committed to advancing conservation and sustainability. That’s why our tray system is made with PolyEarthylene™ (PEL IP 242), a renewable, plant-based material that’s biodegradable and helps reduce plastic waste while supporting a healthier, circular economy.
Biodegradation Process
PolyEarthylene™ is engineered to naturally return to the environment under the right conditions. Unlike conventional plastics that persist for centuries, PolyEarthylene™ can degrade within a few years in biologically active environments such as compost facilities or landfills with microbial activity. The process occurs in stages:
Microbial attack – bacteria and fungi recognize and digest the bio-based backbone
Fragmentation – polymer chains break into smaller molecules through hydrolysis and enzymes.
Mineralization – fragments convert into CO2, water, and biomass under aerobic conditions, or methane, CO2, and biomass under anaerobic conditions.
Complete assimilation – material is fully returned to nature without leaving persistent microplastics
Expected Breakdown Timeline
In biologically active landfill or composting conditions, significant breakdown typically occurs within 2–5 years. In drier, low-oxygen landfills, the process may take longer. This is a dramatic improvement over traditional plastics, which can last hundreds of years.
Storage Recommendations
Keep in original sealed packaging until use.
Long Term Storage – Store in a cool, dry location (50–77 °F / 10–25 °C).
Avoid exposure to moisture, heat, or direct sunlight.
Isolate from strong chemicals and oxidizers.
By choosing Voda IQ’s PolyEarthylene™ tray system, our customers are making a responsible choice that supports sustainability, reduces environmental impact, and promotes innovation in conservation technology.
Using the QuickLock™ Tag Guns and Needles:
Preparation:
Inspect the Tag Gun before use. Ensure the nozzle is clear and the orange trigger functions properly by observing the pushrod’s action when the trigger is pulled.
Preparation:
Inspect the Tag Gun before use. Ensure the nozzle is clear and the orange trigger functions properly by observing the pushrod’s action when the trigger is pulled.
Loading the Gun:
Align the gun’s nozzle over the desired hub and needle in the tray. Press down until you hear a click, or see the rear button extend, indicating the hub and needle are securely engaged.
Tagging:
Lift the gun, removing the hub and needle from the tray. Position the needle at the tagging site on the animal, and press the orange trigger to deploy the PIT tag.
Ejecting the Hub and Needle:
After tagging, disengage the hub and needle by pressing the button on the rear of the gun. CAUTION: Ensure the gun is pointed in a safe direction as the hub and needle will eject rapidly.
Safety Precautions:
Always handle the Tag Gun and needles with care.
Ensure the gun is directed away from yourself and others when ejecting the hub and needle.
